Read MoreA front pocket wallet is a must-have accessory for any man. This minimalist wallet was designed to be unnoticeable in the front pocket. To give it the smallest profile of any wallet like it, I designed it with the top and side unsewn so cash folds and then slides in and is easy to pull out without pulling out your whole wad.&&There are two card slots to stack up to 5 or 6 cards after the leather stretches. So you have one spot for cards or a fishing license behind the ID window and then space enough to slide cards in behind the ID. That's where I keep a folded up $20 bill that my wife can't find, just in case.
---Everyone knows Saddleback Leather Co is all about over-engineering, made to last. We can do this because we do not go cheap on our materials to make the best leather wallet. We only use the toughest materials we can find.
---Cashiers will compliment you on your front pocket leather wallet because we made it with full grain, so it ages way more nicely because it still has all of the pores on it. The leather will only get better looking over time.
---Instead of using a thin, shiny, pretty nylon fabric for wallet lining, we line this leather wallet with real pigskin, which is tougher than cow leather. That attached to our super tough full grain leather is how we can offer a 100-year Warranty.
---We sewed it with a marine-grade polyester continuous filament thread, which is strong and resistant. This type of thread is used to sew ship sails and parachutes because it cannot break easily. Even though it costs more than nylon thread, this kind will last much longer.
After purchasing and thinking it over, I became nervous that the wallet would slip out of my pocket due to its size. Upon receiving it (after an extremely positive experience with customer service and shipping), I realized I needn't worry. Stays in the pocket, extremely versatile and practical due to its size but useful design and has begun to mark up beautifully as the leather comes in contact with everyday life. Also smells great. As my first purchase with SBL, I've realized its far from being my last.

This wallet is fantastic for right kind of person. For a front pocket wallet person like me, it was a great call. Like most saddleback products, the leather takes some time to break in. Though this is intiially annoying with the card and especially the money sections of the wallet, break-in makes them easier to use over time. I find mine excellent for accomodating about 10 or so cards at a time (plus license in the front), and a FEW bills. Build quality is excellent. A year in and I can tell that this wallet is not going to quit where many previous wallets already had by this point in their lives. Size is fantastic. You can drop this in your pocket and almost forget it's there alongside your other essentials. As I noted above, you can only really feasibly keep a few bills in this wallet. The wallet space for bills is tight. Beyond a couple and you may find bills sticking slightly out the top. A few more than that and it's just going to be a mess. If you're someone that carries a lot of bills around this may not be the wallet for you. I would also note that if you face a credit card's numbers outward in the bottom slot, the wallet will eventually show the numbers grooved in a bit there. I would recommend turning in the bottom outer card so the numbers face inward if this small cosmetic issue bothers you. When I have need for cash I use Saddleback's Small Bifold instead (a fair bit bigger but still fits in a man's front pocket without much difficulty, holds about the same amount of cards but can much more easily hold cash). However, I try to carry little cash whenever necessary because I enjoy the ID wallet's card-carrying capacity and small size so much. If you understand and can work with its cash limitations, this wallet's size , build quality, and price point or unbeatable and I would highly recommend it!

This is the perfect minimalist wallet. I fit my DL and CHL in the ID slot, my fishing license in the slot behind that, next a few bills in the middle, and in the back 4 cards, 2 in each slot. I had heard a few complaints about credit card numbers becoming imprinted on the forward most slot, so to prevent that from potentially happening I put my credit cards in the back slot, and my flat membership cards in the front slot. I went from a huge bifold no-name brand to this and I'm happy I did. I keep all the excess papers and junk cards in my old wallet in my truck at all times, and use my Saddleback ID Wallet for things I need every day. I hope it ages well, because I really like it just like it is. Will try to update after a year if I'm able to. I love the way the leather feels, the tobacco color is beautiful. Stitching is robust. Shipping was fast and it was packaged nicely.

After purchasing the medium bifold wallet and being somewhat disappointed with it. I decided to try the I.D. wallet. It's perfectly comfortable in my front pocket, and fits a good amount of daily carry items - driver's license, car and medical insurance cards, passport card, some cash, and about five or six credit cards. No room for receipts, gift cards with $0.50 left on them, or busniess cards from that guy you met on the train the other day. This wallet disciplines you to carry only the necessities.

This wallet is exactly what I was looking for. I just carry my driver's license. one debit card and a small amount of cash so it's absolutely perfect for me. It could easily accommodate more cards if I needed it to but I like to keep it as slim as possible. It's extremely well made, smells amazing and matches my Saddleback satchel! Thanks Dave!!
