Just a brief comment on sizing and bag fit. I bought the Luggage Strap for my new Flight Bag. I was disappointed in that it really was too small for the Flight Bag. Nonetheless, the strap fits my Large Classic Leather Briefcase perfectly. The difference is in the placement of the O-rings on the different bags. Also, the width of the strap was a little more narrow than expected, but still very strong and functional. The design is otherwise great. Overall My recommendations to SBL are as follows: 1. Lengthen the strap, so it can be used with any SBL briefcase/bag. 2. Widen the strap a little, possibly to the size of your SBL classic brief case belt straps.
Yes it works, however, I believe the strap needs a wrap around leather tube or binder to tame the floppy end of the belt strap. The belt loop is finished not with the usual polyester thread or rivet, rather a electrical zip tie. That’s peculiar. I dunno about this Dave.
This strap will most likely never be used for it's intended function, however I found it to be an awesome addition to an awesome bag, and useful if I should ever find myself travelling with a roller carry-on.
Pic shows a Chestnut strap, but I don't see that as an option on the selection. Do you have the chestnut color available?
I have been looking endlessly for the right strap hold my Saddleback Leather Front pocket briefcase (large) onto my carry on with no success. Then when saddleback came out with this I was elated. Took awhile for the DCB to get back in stock and now I could not happier. Ordered on Saturday and picked it up from their location on Monday! On it being too short, I thought so as well. But all you do is tighten it a little and it works perfectly. Keep in mind I have had my DCB front briefcase for over years and might have a little stretch with it. I keep mine on hole 3 currently and works like it should. Thank you Saddleback Leather for making my life easier with a great product.
