Big Wallet Redesign and Review by Suzette
I have this wallet in black and I also have the Lana version in DCB from Love41. This wallet is everything I could hope for and more. I love big wallets like this because I can carry all of my cards, cash and notes that I need for the day, plus there is a place for a pen and some change. I also love that it's easy to find in whatever bag I am carrying. When you first get the wallet, the closure is a little stiff, of course, because it's new leather, but it loosens with use and works perfectly after a day or two. I am definitely purchasing another wallet to match my chestnut bags. This wallet is absolutely perfect and worth the price!
I wanted this wallet for a very long time and I religiously went on daves deals for months until I saw it on a 25 percent discount and I knew it was mine. I absolutely love it. It is chocolate brown with the light pigskin lining ( I got lucky) and while I acknowledge it is big ( my 11 year old son Calls it mybookcase) I love it. It holds everything. I even put checkbook in it. It is an amazing wallet and Dave I know you discount less than perfect but to me this wallet is perfect. I love the light lining it brings contrast and class to it. If you don't mind a big wallet that is well made and of quality this is your forever wallet. I can't wait to break it in a bit. Thank you Dave for making quality products that make a statement.
Just received this fine wallet as a gift. If you travel much, for business, or otherwise, this wallet holds a lot as what I call backup info that I don't carry in my primary (read: smaller and more pocket friendly) wallet. This wallet goes in my shoulder bag when flying, or in the side pocket door of an automobile when driving, and keeps track of all those ancillary cards such as hotel rewards cards, airline frequent flyer cards, passport, boarding pass, etc. The ruggedness and construction of this wallet are without question some of the finest you'll find. I look forward to many miles with it.
Okay... I am notoriously rough on wallets. I hated going through wallet after wallet, year after year. Tried designer brands, cheap brands, exotic materials and leathers you name it. Most lasting maybe 1-2 years tops. Truth be told when I ran across this wallet I did not realize just how big it was until it came and I almost fell out of my chair in surprise. The quality was so good however that I decided to try it out and see how it worked out, and it did wonderfully. I am used to carrying a check book sized wallet. Now, as I said, it is extremely well made, heavy duty. The craftsmanship excellent which I very much can appreciate. Second., I have yet to misplace it. While not designed to easiely slide away concealed into a back pocket (if you do best make certain to have suspenders on), it does rest in some jacket and coat pockets. I usually have mine in my truck console and carry it as/when needed. When I don't require it a money and card clip do just fine. It is easily large enough to hold my business checks, pen, large amount of cards, cash and when traveling fits a passport (or two easily). I have yet to fill it up! The look/style is by no means feminine so to see the video of it being marketed here more towards women I find very amusing. Would you ever catch me wearing a man bag? I think not... no, but sure as heck will be using this "Big Leather Wallet" to carry what I need when I need it, that's for sure! No doubt it will last through many many years and just keep getting better with time (wish I could say the same). Now, to buy some of that gorgeous luggage you make! Hint, having some tooling available would be very nice addition/option.
Love this wallet, no more prissy designer crap for me! But please note that there is a deep space directly below the coin purse that is as deep as the wallet. Not intended for credit cards. I accidentally popped mt debit card there & it went deeper & deeper towards the bottom, it took me 30 minutes to try & retrieve it out as no one I think has fingers that long that can squeeze in the tight space. I finally had to use a set of needle nosed pliers & this scratched both the card & the leather . I may try & super glue close this as it really gave me a scare. Still the best wallet on earth, I just wanted to share for FYI.
