I absolutely ADORE this bag. It fits a notebook, colored pencils, an art book, and my sketching book just fine! The only downside is the strap is so long that even at it’s shortest the bag sits right above my leg, and I’m 6’2”. Will buy a leather punch soon
After much deliberation between Chestnut and Saddle, I opted for Chestnut. I may have to get the Saddle as well. First of all, I was pleasingly surprised by the size of this bag. Often I get bags that are a little small, and in the photo, the arrangement of the two pens made me think this bag was a tad on the small size as well. it is in fact a very roomy crossbody. I carry two change purses, a notebook, various pens, a tissue pack, and all this fits with room to spare. I like the easy closure, and that my phone goes in the outside back pocket so I don't need to root around in the bag for it. The strap is plenty long for anyone to wear crossbody. This bag is getting softer, as is the strap which suits me perfectly. It is lined of course in the pigskin, well-made and a good value for the money.
The Leather Travel Satchel expands ( pun intended) upon the " Every Day Carry" ( EDC) Satchel. I have an older model cell phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 9). The battery is not what it used to be. I miss when you could easily replace cell phone batteries. I use a Zerolemon 10,000 mah charging case that is often referred to as a "brick". I like my cell phone and Zerolemon allows me to be untethered from cords. That being said, my cell phone in its protective charging case does not fit into the EDC Satchel. It also does not fit into the new Love 41 IPhone Crossbody Leather Wallet. Along with my phone, I like to carry the Saddleback Leather Phone stand (The phone stand is probably my most utilized Saddleback Leather item (not including my Love 41 Saddle handbag and Saddleback Leather small wallet.) I use the phone stand every day. I also carry a small MP3 player (Panasonic SV-mp020) that runs on a single AA battery. I also like to carry a small journal, a pen and a small pocket language book (Korean at the moment) . Needless to say, trying to get these items to fit along with a small wallet and keys is a challenge. The New Saddleback Leather Travel Satchel allows me to carry them all. It is not too small and not too big. I also like the vertical design and the toggle closure. I purchased the Satchel in black. I prefer wearing black. The rich black color of the Saddleback Leather items is stunning. The Leather Travel Satchel is simple, functional and beautiful.
