Our Full Grain Leather is Key

This wallet was constructed with full-grain leather. Let me explain why that's so important. Leather is like a roof. You have the wood decking and then the shingles. The grain of the leather is the 25% of the top layer of the hide and is the strongest, most resistant to stains and water and has the densest tightly woven leather fibers of the leather. It's like the shingles on the roof. Without the grain, the roof will leak because the wood beneath it will resist, but not for long. The top layer of the leather also has all of the marks of the life of the cow.&&So, the low quality leather wallet companies shave off the scars so they will not have to cut around the scars and therefore save money by using almost every square inch of the hide. But in doing so, they shave off the longest lasting and toughest part that leather is famous for. We WANT as much grain as we can get on our leather wallets, so we cut around the scars and blemishes and throw that leather into the trash.

An Extra Strong Full Grain Leather Wallet

Then, if our exceptional leather isn't enough, we use almost twice the thickness of what most other wallet manufacturers do. This makes a tougher leather wallet. Great Quality, but thick

The quality of the wallet is fantastic, it is durable and strong. the main downside it has is due to the requirements to accomplish its upsides, mainly it is very thick. Empty it is twice as thick as my last wallet was full. My last wallet survived ~6 years of hard use and didn't have an RFID blocker built in. This wallet does have an RFID blocker and I suspect will last much longer. My plan to prevent a sore back (due to sitting on this thick wallet) is to not sit on it. Instead of carrying this wallet in the conventional butt pocket, every chance I get I carry it in a different pocket. The few exceptions ( based on pants for the moment) will still encourage me to relocate the wallet from my butt pocket to some other more secure storage option it I will be sitting for an extended duration, such as driving.
