This wallet was constructed with full-grain leather. Let me explain why that's so important. Leather is like a roof. You have the wood decking and then the shingles. The grain of the leather is the 25% of the top layer of the hide and is the strongest, most resistant to stains and water and has the densest tightly woven leather fibers of the leather. It's like the shingles on the roof. Without the grain, the roof will leak because the wood beneath it will resist, but not for long.
