This is my second piece/purchase from saddleback leather. This was purchased for my daughter as a gift for getting into nursing school. She loves the color which, by the way, we had to wait many months for. She wanted something that wasn’t to large and had a zipper. She absolutely loves this backpack.
Hey, Got my wife a backpack for christmas becuase she wanted a leather bag similar to my saddleback briefcase i have used for years. unsirprisingly she loves it and uses it all day everyday. not to be sappy, i never write reviews for anything, but y'all make some serious kick ass products. cheers, charley
While I do love this bag! It holds so much!! You do need to be aware the bag is very heavy. There is what I would call a design flaw with the zipper and having such heavy pockets on the inside...that being said I do still love the bag and will carry it for a while to come. I love my Universal backpack! It’s the perfect size. The straps are wider than most making it more comfortable to wear. Great quality of leather that will last forever. I definitely recommend this backpack.
I purchased this bag in June and have not used it (it just sits in my closet). The bag is very heavy even before anything is put in it. The cross body starts should be shorter. I tried doubling it so I could cary it as a regular pocketbook but it doesn't work, a 28 inch or 30 inch would be better or at least the option to wear as a regular shoulder strap if one does not want to carry it as a cross body or backpack. As a crossbody the strap is still very long. I would purchase a strap if it was an option in accessories that was about 28-30 inches long with those clips to clip on from one side to other. The color and workmanship detail on the bag is very beautiful. The other item I purchased was the leather tow belt as a gift and that was great quality and was loved by the receiver.
