OK For What It Is Used For But...

This is a great wallet but you can't get cash out quickly folding the cash into quarters and the stiching on one little spot is becoming frayed on the top that may be user error i don't know. I think they should offer a different version of this wallet. A version flipped on its side so you can put cash in folded once that would be awesome.

    Excellent product

I have carried a money clip for several years that handled my credit cards and cash, and was quite satisfied with it. Saw this sleeve, tried it, and it is even better than the clip. I carry 6 credit cards/licence and a few bills, and this makes an even smaller indentation in my front pocket than the money clip did. The leather is a bit stiff at first, but loosens up pretty quickly. The dark coffee brown is a great color that coordinates well with either dress or casual. Well worth the $14 and more - would never go back to a conventional wallet in my back pocket! Just wish Saddleback made a belt pouch that would handle my Samsung S4 cell phone - I would buy one in a heartbeat.

Exactly what I was looking for!

I wanted a simple front pocket wallet that would hold 3-4 cards. I searched the ends of the internet trying to find what I wanted, to no avail. Every front pocket wallet or card sleeve I found had a money clip, which I did not want for two reasons: a) I never carry cash b) it adds to the thickness of the wallet. I was nearly ready to make a purchase on an Australian brand, but was reluctant because it was pretty expensive and only backed by a 3 year warranty. A friend of mine then recommended this Saddleback card sleeve. It was EXACTLY what I wanted, less than 1/3 of the price of the brand I was considering, and backed by a lifetime warranty. It has a low profile so it's nearly invisible in your front pocket. The leather is thick and the stitching is solid, making it durable enough for a back pocket, too. I've had it for two months now and I show it off to everyone. The dark coffee brown is beautiful and compliments any attire - casual, dress, even formal. It becomes more malleable with time without any loss in durability. Not a lot of noticeable weathering yet, but the leather will pick up oils from your hands, dings and dents from other objects in your pockets, etc. Those kinds of things give it character and make it a unique piece. It's rare that I review a product, but I highly enjoy this card sleeve and felt it was necessary to give credit when credit is due. To anyone reading this review & considering purchasing this - have complete faith.. I promise you that you'll get a quality product, and you'll also be supporting an artisan in his craft.

    Great stuff

I ordered this wallet sleeve because I like the idea of a minimalist card and cash holder. Based on the Saddleback webpage content especially Dave's Q&A section I was convinced that these guys produce and sell great products. After I've ordered the wallet I was really blown away by the friendly and competent service of the Saddleback team. I've received my wallet yesterday and I have to say that the quality of this wallet is amazing. I can recommend this wallet to anyone who is looking for rugged quality product and a simple and functional design.

    The Gateway

This is the first Saddleback piece I picked up. I was looking for a slim wallet that wouldn't look terrible after six months and came across this one. The price was right, but that's the catch; as soon as it came in the mail, as soon as I caught a whiff of the leather in the envelope, I had to get the ID wallet, too. Soon I had to get the belt pouch, a belt, so on. Mine holds an ID, two credit cards, and a transit pass. I've had more in there, but four seems like the right number to me. I always try to put the credit cards face in because the leather conforms to the numbers. Otherwise, in the year that I've had it, it's developed a nice patina. It's also become much darker. The stitching is top notch, and there's been absolutely no fraying. This is the most practical, good-looking, all around best wallet I've ever owned, hands down.
