Got it for my dad
Got it for my dad for his birthday & just in time for his trip to Jamaica. Was worried it may not come before he left due to the holiday shipping delays but it did & he loves it! Despite being on back order the customer service was amazing it was received before Christmas Day means I received it 2 days after it was shipped! Amazing quality & amazing service! It’s a beautiful chess board. The leather is impeccable & the craftsmanship of the pieces are exceptional. One of my proudest gifts to anyone. Highly recommend getting this as a gift for any chess lover you know or even yourself as a show piece because it’s just that beautiful!

Beautiful Leather. Underwhelming pieces.
This is amazing leather work. The chess board, piece bags, and carrying case are all incredibly well made and the reason I still gave this set 4 stars. The pieces, on the other had, are a joke for a set at this price point. They are small and unweighted, nothing like the pieces in the video. It is unfortunate that after spending almost $300 for this set I will likely have to replace the pieces relatively soon (I don't even think they would stay put in any wind at a park or campsite). I think they should either reduce the price of this set or get better pieces. I am excited to use this board, I think it will last a very long time and it is very well made, I just wish the pieces were of the same quality.
