This was my second set - I simply needed more to have handy around the house. The newer lay-flat holder is a great improvement over the earlier stand-up holder. My only minor comment is that having both sides of the coaster finished gives up the traction of the earlier design, which had one finished and one unfinished side. Would buy again!
