Just as described, it is a thick, heavy and tough belt. Ordered a black first and I was impressed enough to order one in dark chocolate brown, right after. Awesome quality as always is the case with Saddleback leather. A disappointment however, is the color of the dark coffee brown. In reality it is paler than it looks on the website, appears a darker shade of the color Tobacco instead. Long story: Customer care matches the quality of their product! I was to leave for 3 weeks of vacation and I planned to wear the 2 belts. Immediately after receiving the dark coffee brown however, I contacted for a replacement, citing the issue with color. To my disappointment, people at Saddleback confirmed that what I got is the finish for all dark coffee browns and it was not a defect or mistake (as I first suspected it to be). With 2 days left before I flew out, I was indecisive about what should I do with the second belt. It was useless as I already had a belt in the same color. On the other hand, I was in love with the quality and design! Here is the good part. The fabulous support team not only offered a free return, they offered to look for and send the darkest finish as a replacement, just so I can make up my mind. Further, they patiently heard me and offered to send the replacement overnight, so I can still get it in time for my vacation, in case I decided to keep it after all! In the end, I did decide to keep the belt. Not that I needed it, but because it is the best belt I ever owned and more so because of the awesome people at Saddleback leather! Thanks!!

So how could Dave prove the toughness of the Tow Belt? Engage in a high-stakes tug-of-war with a Great White shark in Majorca? Incorporate it into a daring helicopter rescue operation? Use it to zipline over the French Alps? Perhaps you should spring the $99 and see for yourself. Since this beast is designed to last for a century, that's just a dollar a year to add one of the toughest, best-looking accessories you could imagine to your wardrobe (and ultimately to your will).
