Leather Tow Belt in Kotor, Montenegro
Saying that this belt is the best belt ever is an understatement. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS BELT IS GREAT EVEN THE BUCKLE!! Honestly, I don't know what else to say because words doesn't do it justice. I will say to anyone who is reading these reviews, get the belt you will not be disappoint and you will not be able to describe how great it is without actually showing it off. I'm very happy that I came across this company!! Great work to all involved!!
Now that is one heck of a belt ! I was getting tired to be chewing through so many poor quality belts. Even the real leather expensive ones didn't cut it for me. When I saw that Saddleback was making some, I didn't hesitate one bit. It is very wide, very thick and very, very sturdy. Worn it daily for more than a year and it hasn't moved. The size isn't easy to get right though, I'd advice contacting the customer service if you're unsure. But don't worry, they're adorable. I had to return mine for a smaller one and even though there were some parcel problems it went without a hitch. Now unfortunately I've chosen to drop belts in favour of suspenders so I don't wear it anymore. But I'm sure waiting for Saddleback Leather suspenders !
Just received my second tow belt. This time in tobacco, as the first was in black and purchased over a year ago. That will be it, for any more belts, I guess for the rest of my life, which I hope will be at least for the one hundred year guarantee. Great belts and fantastic quality.
This is a really nice, solid belt. It's true to the size, I wear 36 width pants and the size 36 belts fits perfectly. I also own a "Classic Four Stitch Belt" which has the exact same size. The "Tow Belt" is a bit thicker and heavier then the "Four Stitch", but I'm not worried that either one of them will break. I wish saddleback would make a 1.25in wide belt as they look better with chinos and other not denim pants... 1.5in belts won't fit dress pants at all.
I bought the tobacco Tow belt about a month ago and it has been wrapped around my waist every working day since. The quality is what you expect from SBL - top notch (pun intended). It is nice and thick, the metalwork is solid, but unobtrusive. It goes into and strips out of the belt loops on chinos and jeans with ease - an absolute joy to use and wear. The gaps between the holes is closer than usual, and that is actually a good thing - much easier to find a good snug fit. I have had a load of 'high quality' belts before, but they all feel cheap and flimsy compared to this belt. If you are in the market for a new belt - I cannot recommend this one enough (better even than the old bull belt - another great product). If you are simply browsing and undecided on SBL - this is a good product to start with. the only problem I have (I now have 7 SBL pieces - 5 bags and 2 belts), is that because these things will last longer than me, I need to come up with very creative reasons why I need to buy some more! Any tips, gratefully received :)
