Design
This leather wallet was designed to stack cards in both slots therefore eliminating the thickness of a layer of leather between the cards. You can stack 5 or 6 cards in each slot as the leather stretches. And the two card slots are on opposing sides to the wallet will be flat and even when folded. And it is narrow and slim enough to fit in the front pocket. And in between the lining and the cow skin, and just like with our medium leather bifold wallet, we put a layer of Radio Frequency ID (RFID) blocking material to block bad people from scanning your wallet and stealing your identification off your credit cards. It happens all day long. Google it.

Materials
This wallet is constructed with full-grain leather and nothing less. Let me explain. A hide of leather is like a roof. A roof is thick, but it's the thinner top layer shingles that keep the water and dirt out and protect the inside. The tough "shingles" of leather is the grain on the top layer of the hide. But a lot of low level bottom dwelling leather wallet manufacturers shave off the top layer with all of the scars so they can use all of the leather and don't have to cut out the scars and throw the away. It's pure business. But in doing so, they're shaving the shingles off of your house. How stupid is that? They neuter the leather and take away its leatherhood. The toughness it's known for. We only use leather that has the full amount of grain (full grain). When they remove some of the grain, the leather is called top grain leather. When they remove ALL of the grain, it's called genuine or split leather. And they do it just to save leather while taking away the strength, durability and water resistance of the hide. Leather isn't cheap and they don't want to lose the profit from throwing away the leather that has scars and marks on it. They just sand or split it off. It's why this full grain leather bifold wallet is so expensive.

Lining
Instead of using a thin shiny and pretty nylon fabric, we line this leather wallet with pigskin, which is tougher than the cow leather. It's how we can offer a 100-year Warranty.
---
Thread
And then we sewed it with the incredible marine-grade polyester continuous filament thread. Trust me. It's strong and resistant. It's what ship sails and parachutes are made with. If your life depends on it, use this thread.

Leather
The reason bank tellers and cashiers will compliment you on this leather wallet is because Full Grain leather ages way more nicely because it still has all of the pores on it. Lesser leathers had the pores removed so oils and dirt can't set in.

I purchased the small bifold in tobacco a few months ago, it is a great addition to my edc. It's comfortable, it holds all I need it to hold, and I absolutely LOVE how the tobacco looks over time. I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a quality wallet that's just the right size, and quality well worth the price. Since purchasing I find I am constantly telling people about the quality products offered by saddleback, and its refreshing to find a company that will not cut corners in their final product!

The small bifold is perfect, I think. Sturdy but nice and slim. It's breaking in nicely and is about 7/16 of an inch thick with 7 cards in it (no cash). It's starting to taper down really nicely on the sides and is very comfortable in my back pocket. It looks to me like the inside and card slot leather is thinner than older photos that I've seen online which is an upgrade as far as I'm concerned, as long as it hold up just as well. Based on what I've seen so far I'm not worried at all! Thanks Saddleback!

This is my first purchase from Saddleback. I bought a small bifold wallet since my old one was wearing out, and I got the small one because I mainly just use a card to make purchases. I love the design and the quality of Saddleback. I will definitely return for future purchases.

Received my Small dark coffee brown bifold a year ago and is in amazing condition due to the quality, robust material. The stitching is perfect and hasn't frayed or loosened what so ever. I prefer to travel light, so I opted for the small and I do not regret my decision at all. I carry four cards, a few business cards and a few notes. The size means the wallet sits comfortably in any pocket, whether jeans, joggers or shorts. Only snag is the cash notes I carry are too tall for the wallet and stick out the top slightly (I live in UK, England), this leads me to fold my notes. I don't mind this small trade for the amazing quality (and customer service) I got from this company. Since the time of buying this wallet I have also bought a Hobo Crossbody for my mother as a gift - just as excellent, loves it.

I was hesitant at first about ordering this wallet; however, once it arrived in the mail, my mind was put at ease. I was not sure if I'd like the inner design of the wallet in light of how the cards lay. Upon receiving it in the mail, I immediately felt pleased with my decision to go with tobacco (I've only ordered products in dark coffee brown). The leather was soft yet stiff (can't wait to work it in) and it smelled great. The wallet holds everything I need it to: roughly 3-4 cards on each side and some cash. Looks like a keeper! I would recommend this leather company to anyone. I own a 4-stitch belt, large Moleskine cover, thin briefcase, business card wallet, and an I.D. wallet. I thoroughly enjoyed the I.D. wallet that I bought back in the summer of 2012; however, it was the first time I tried something so minimalistic. This summer I've decided to go back to the bifold without compromise to the minimalist kind of style. This small bifold does the trick. I'm glad I stumbled upon Saddleback while surfing the web some years back. If I need a leather product and Saddleback sells it, I know who's getting my business.
