Design
This leather wallet was designed to stack cards in both slots therefore eliminating the thickness of a layer of leather between the cards. You can stack 5 or 6 cards in each slot as the leather stretches. And the two card slots are on opposing sides to the wallet will be flat and even when folded. And it is narrow and slim enough to fit in the front pocket. And in between the lining and the cow skin, and just like with our medium leather bifold wallet, we put a layer of Radio Frequency ID (RFID) blocking material to block bad people from scanning your wallet and stealing your identification off your credit cards. It happens all day long. Google it.

Materials
This wallet is constructed with full-grain leather and nothing less. Let me explain. A hide of leather is like a roof. A roof is thick, but it's the thinner top layer shingles that keep the water and dirt out and protect the inside. The tough "shingles" of leather is the grain on the top layer of the hide. But a lot of low level bottom dwelling leather wallet manufacturers shave off the top layer with all of the scars so they can use all of the leather and don't have to cut out the scars and throw the away. It's pure business. But in doing so, they're shaving the shingles off of your house. How stupid is that? They neuter the leather and take away its leatherhood. The toughness it's known for. We only use leather that has the full amount of grain (full grain). When they remove some of the grain, the leather is called top grain leather. When they remove ALL of the grain, it's called genuine or split leather. And they do it just to save leather while taking away the strength, durability and water resistance of the hide. Leather isn't cheap and they don't want to lose the profit from throwing away the leather that has scars and marks on it. They just sand or split it off. It's why this full grain leather bifold wallet is so expensive.

Lining
Instead of using a thin shiny and pretty nylon fabric, we line this leather wallet with pigskin, which is tougher than the cow leather. It's how we can offer a 100-year Warranty.
---
Thread
And then we sewed it with the incredible marine-grade polyester continuous filament thread. Trust me. It's strong and resistant. It's what ship sails and parachutes are made with. If your life depends on it, use this thread.

Leather
The reason bank tellers and cashiers will compliment you on this leather wallet is because Full Grain leather ages way more nicely because it still has all of the pores on it. Lesser leathers had the pores removed so oils and dirt can't set in.

This was my second wallet after i bought ID (wonderful wallet) because i like cash more than cards. After using it about 6 months i can only say PERFECT! Fits in front pocket, not to bulky if you carry it in back pocket. Holds great 5 cards and bout 20-25 bills. Euro bills of 5, 10, 20 fits great. I only regret the fact that the wallet has no coin pouch, because in Europe the change is mostly in coins... The chestnut color is amazing, and the smell still exist Be sure that if you manage to add coin pocket in similar wallet that I will be the buyer 3rd time! Regards,

A little information first: Back in January I purchased the front pocket ID wallet in Carbon. I definitely loved the color, but I was still left wondering how the tobacco looked in person. I also wanted a wallet that could carry a bit more than the ID wallet and thus began my stakeout. I wanted the small bifold wallet in tobacco, but I wanted it to be a 25% markdown from Dave's Deals. I didn't want it for the price markdown but for the imperfections; I love imperfections because they tell a story. That being said, I would definitely pay full price for any of the Dave's Deals. My constant monitoring finally paid off in the last week of July when I was able to snag my prize, and let me tell you it was worth all the waiting. This wallet is a thing of beauty. It has a few decent sized scars on it that are visible when holding it. The tobacco color definitely brings out the smaller marks (personally a huge positive) that may have gone unnoticed in the carbon/black color. On the inside it is just as beautiful, adorned with the many marks that come with the life of a cow. On the top right above the Saddleback logo there is a small rough patch the size of a dime. This I assume is what warranted the 25%, however I love it. I have only had this wallet for a few weeks, but have caught numerous people admiring it and even a few have asked where I got it. As for the functionality of the wallet, I tested it out with just one card in each slot and it held them well. Even after being opened up and vigorously shaken around for a few minutes, the cards had not moved. Currently I have 3 cards in the left side and 5 cards in the right side as well as 10 bills in the wallet. It still folds flat with room to spare and even fits in my front pocket with almost no bulge. For reference I am 6'2 and 150lbs. I do have a runners build so my legs are somewhat bigger than most people in the same range. Additionally, it has that unforgettable leather smell that you get from all the Saddleback products. While this may be the last wallet I'll ever need, I'm definitely not planning on making it the last piece of Saddleback leather I own. Someday that leather suitcase will be mine...

My wallet showed up yesterday, and boy, it's even nicer than I anticipated. It smells great and is very flexible right out of the gate. The stitching is just about perfect, and the size is perfect for my needs. I have about 4 cards on each of the sides, which fit nicely, and I could probably get a few more on each side if need be. The cash carrying section is perfect for a reasonable amount of bills. I'm pretty excited about this thing. I'm looking forward to the comments I get on it, and I can't wait to recommend you guys. Thanks for the great service (via the chat feature), and the quick shipping time. It even showed up a day earlier than expected!

SBL was recommended to me through /r/buyitforlife. I purchased the small black bifold wallet. It is a beautiful wallet with a simple design, that is functional and very durable, and works well for front pocket carry. The small bifold when closed is not much wider than the ID wallet, and just a hair thicker. Because I carry and frequently use cash, I prefer the small bifold over the ID wallet - even though the ID wallet has a cash pocket, I've found cash is much easier to keep in order and/or quickly stuff back into the small bifold. I would recommend this wallet, I already have.

I have been using the front pocket wallet for awhile now. I like it but I wanted to try this bifold. I've carried a bifold most of my life and I prefer the look and feel. As others have pointed out, it's only a little larger than the front pocket wallet and the footprint in my front pocket looks and feels about the same. The leather was pliable when it arrived. The leather and stitching look great. I have five cards in each side and ten bills in the bill compartment. Everything fits with room to spare. Obviously this is not the best size if you carry a lot of plastic and / or bills. On the other hand, if you want something more minimalist but prefer the bifold design over the front pocket style this is a great choice.
