I slept with my wallet the first night!

I LOVE this wallet so much! I have had it for one full day now and it is absolutely beautiful. The chestnut color is warm and the wallet is made really well. I couldn't stand the wallet being out of my sight for one second so, I slept with it. I'm not ashamed either. After contemplating for about six months, I took the advice and "Pulled the trigger". So glad that I did. Thanks Dave, I really love the wallet!!!

    Big Leather Wallet to Purse

The Big Leather Wallet really is big - as big as a clutch purse, which I like to use it as when I'm making a quick run to the store. The only problem with a clutch purse is that you literally have to CLUTCH it - it doesn't come with a purse strap you can sling over your shoulder for hands-free shopping. Since I'm too wary of thieves to comfortably leave my beautiful wallet sitting in my cart when I turn my back on it to scoop that 30 lb. bag of dog food off the bottom shelf, I needed a solution. So I contacted a leather craftsman here in GA who built me a purse strap for it. It's 60" long (I like the strap to cross my body), and 3/4 " wide, with a nickel buckle. My intent was to slide this strap through the wallet's pen holder area as a way to hook it securely to the purse. Since I didn't want the strap to just slide around willy-nilly through the pen holder area, I asked him to rivet a 6" long secondary strap partway down the purse strap to keep it in place. With a snap at the other end of the 6" strap, I can easily take the whole purse strap off and turn it back into a wallet whenever I want. The only thing I worried about (at first) was the fact that putting the strap through the pen holder meant I was basically carrying the purse upside down. However, Dave's nipple rivet closure really DOES keep it secure, and the leather is tight enough that even when I've turned my clutch/purse upside down, left the nipple rivet closure strap unhooked and OPEN, and then given it a good, hard shake, no papers or cards have every fallen out of it. FYI: if you want to get a similar purse strap made for the Big Wallet (or if Dave would kindly add one to the accessories section - hint, hint), you can probably go as wide as an inch on the purse strap leather - the pen holder can take it. Strap length of course is your own personal preference!
