    New design is not good. Only stitched at opposite corners :(

    I absolutely loved the old design. It was perfect. I have used it for years, and even bought one for my son because he loved it, too... needless to say, when my puppy chewed it up, I hopped on Saddleback’s website and bought a new one within 15 minutes of discovering the damage - even before contacting my bank for new debit cards. I was excited to get it... very disappointed when I received it and found out they had changed it to a wide-open design. I usually keep my debit card, military ID, driver’s license, Sam’s card and a Tile slim on the outside, and a spare credit card, loyalty cards and cash on the inside. I am legitimately concerned about losing everything from the inside, because there is only 1/2” of stitching on opposing corners now. You can flex the wallet into an open tube, and everything falls out. I contacted Saddleback to see if I could get the old style or get my new one stitched closed; my only option is to either return it and go with a different brand or pay Leathermilk to sew it up as a repair. This is not the quality or service I had come to expect from Saddleback. I am seriously disappointed - this was what I expected to be my wallet for the rest of my life...

    Last wallet I'll ever buy

    I like the comfort of having a wallet in my front pocket, and this one delivers beyond any other wallet I've ever owned. I keep up to $300 in cash in it, my drivers license, my CCW permit, AAA card, military ID, 2 credit cards, 2 debit cards and a fake card in an protective sleeve. It doesn't even look worn, after several years of carrying it and stuffing it with all of the above and the days receipts as well. I particularly like the ability to have the drivers's license exposed without taking it out - very easy to flash it to a server when I pay by credit card and they actually read the back of the card and ask to see my ID. This is an excellent wallet ... I liked it so much I bought a second one for my wife. She loves hers too.

    Excellent minimalist wallet that’s surprising

    I received my ID wallet yesterday. I purchased the black and it is a beautiful color. I was surprised that the leather was so soft. I am a minimalist because I only carry 5 cards so this has plenty of room. I like to use cash and was concerned this wallet wouldn’t hold enough. To my surprise it holds 10-15 bills easily which meets my needs. If you carry lots of cards you probably won’t be able to carry this many bills. The new design is great because it’s easy to get cash in and out plus the bills don’t stick up above the wallet. I’m a little fussy when it come to the convenience of getting cash in and out and I think this will work well. It helped to place 5-6 credit cards in the bill slot over night to stretch out the base. The ID slot is a little tight but I found the main problem is sliding the ID over the leather. I put back the card the ID slot comes with and it worked perfectly. Over the card it slides in and out easily. If you’ve already thrown the card out I’m sure a business card would work great. Remember this is a minimalist wallet. For this to work you have to be a “card” minimalist , a “cash” minimalist or both. If you are I highly recommend this wallet.

    Simplicity is Often Best

    After carrying the Medium Bifold for several years, I was in need of a more practical wallet. Having used the Front Pocket ID for a couple of months, I don't ever plan on returning to a bulkier wallet. Once broken in, the leather is surprisingly pliable and more than willing to be filled with cards and cash. I would highly recommend giving this wallet a try. You may be surprised as to what you can cram into it!

    I love my saddleback leather front pocket wallet! This is my 2nd saddleback leather front pocket wallet, I personally believe it’s the best wallet out there in its category! I have several items from saddleback leather company I have not been disappointed yet!
