Read MoreA front pocket wallet is a must-have accessory for any man. This minimalist wallet was designed to be unnoticeable in the front pocket. To give it the smallest profile of any wallet like it, I designed it with the top and side unsewn so cash folds and then slides in and is easy to pull out without pulling out your whole wad. There are two card slots to stack up to 5 or 6 cards after the leather stretches. So you have one spot for cards or a fishing license behind the ID window and then space enough to slide cards in behind the ID. That's where I keep a folded up $20 bill that my wife can't find, just in case.
---Everyone knows Saddleback Leather Co is all about over-engineering, made to last. We can do this because we do not go cheap on our materials to make the best leather wallet. We only use the toughest materials we can find.
---Cashiers will compliment you on your front pocket leather wallet because we made it with full grain, so it ages way more nicely because it still has all of the pores on it. The leather will only get better looking over time.
---Instead of using a thin, shiny, pretty nylon fabric for wallet lining, we line this leather wallet with real pigskin, which is tougher than cow leather. That attached to our super tough full grain leather is how we can offer a 100-year Warranty.
---We sewed it with a marine-grade polyester continuous filament thread, which is strong and resistant. This type of thread is used to sew ship sails and parachutes because it cannot break easily. Even though it costs more than nylon thread, this kind will last much longer.
This wallet is perfect for the minimalist. I have owned mine for about 18 months now. I love it. I carry about 10 cards in it plus my drivers license. It does have a spot for cash but it is really only good for about 5 or 6 bills. I would not recommend this wallet for someone who likes to use cash on a daily basis. It can be a little difficult getting the bills in and out. I do not use cash often, so this wallet works great for me. I have the tobacco color. Over time the wallet seems to have taken on a darker tone. You can see these in the photo. I love the darker, aged look. I will buy all my future SBL products in tobacco. As far as the price goes, yes it might seem expensive compared to the cheap leather wallets you get at the mall but my wallet feels like it will last 10 years, maybe longer. It is extremely well constructed. It is worth the price in my opinion.

Just received my wallet today and it does what it appears to have been designed to do extremely well! I've been putting off buying a new wallet for a long time and so far extremely glad I did until I found this. I only carry I.D's, a few cards, and very little cash on me in my front pocket. It's brand new quality leather so it should be expected to be very stiff, just like a new pair of quality boots, but still accommodates 8 total credit cards/ID's and a few bills while taking up very little room in my pocket. I have very little doubt this will be handed down to my kids, they're arguing over my old worn out one now. If your contemplating on this just understand its intended design, if that fits your needs do not hesitate, it is worth it. I will be a repeat customer.

I've had this wallet for over a year and it truly is a small front pocket id wallet. I would usually carry around 8 cards and a few bills and it would remain slim. The id slot is real good for when anyone ask to see your id. You don't have to pull it out, just show them your id through the plastic free window slot. Great wallet.

Functional wallet that is aesthetically displeasing. Every complaint about folded bills not fitting in the money slot are 100% spot on. No reason not to make it deep enough for US bills. The lighter lining looks awful against the chestnut exterior. The edges of the wallet show where each layer of light pigskin and dark leather meet and areas with more layers meet areas with less layers in a disjointed mess. I'll be watching eBay for an older version with darker lining, and will relegate this one to gift cards since I can't return it now.

I'll be honest - I really like this wallet. I had a little journey getting to this wallet - my original Christopher Ward card wallet went walkabout, so after much searching I purchased an Ikepod slim wallet off Amazon for a similar price to this one. the Ikepod is a very good wallet, with lots of features such as RFID protection, ID window, a little space for coins and a SIM, and the ability to have a limited amount of notes, unfolded. It could also take a lot of cards, but luckily I like going fairly minimal. The two things that made me return it were the quality of leather (decent but not outstanding) and the color. Which was brown. Ish. As a wallet is something you use everyday, I found Saddleback whilst I was looking and had a bit of trepidation about it. It's pricey for one. And the feature set is very slim. So I found my one on Dave's Deals, and for the life of me I don't know what the 'flaw' is. It's tight as everyone mentions, and definitely needs a breaking in period. The leather is thicker than I expected, but is very robust & smells fantastic. Color is a very vintagy tobacco. The leather scuffs and will patina, but that's all part of the character. I carry my work pass, my license, 2 credit cards, one insurance and one discount card, and minimal cash, usually 2 notes. And that's it. It swallows it up no problem. It does become thicker than what I'd ideally like, but I'm also used to a thin leather credit card wallet. The thickness is a great sign that it will last 100 years! Okay, a few builds. I can understand people not liking the size of the cash pocket. At the moment you have to dbl fold your bills, and even then its prone to having a little bit sticking up. I don't mind it tbh, but others have found it annoying. The other is value - for the full online price, it's a touch expensive for several pieces of (admittedly good) thick leather with marine grade stitching. Though if you're an optimist it's because it's a handmade wallet with great materials that it's this price. Personally, I think it's fairer at the $30 Dave's Deals price I paid for. For $39, I'd be wanting one or two more features that would really make it value for money, such as RFID protection or similar. As such, I feel that I got a great quality wallet for a fair price.
