Good wallet but has a design flaw

I am in love with Saddleback's products, they are durable, simple and well designed. For the most part, this wallet is great, fits7 cards that I normally carry and fits well in my pocket. But here is the problem, it's middle insert(where you put cash) won't fit your standard dollar. It's not a problem if you fold the bills twice, once in the middle then fold it again. But that would make the wallet thicker. If you try to insert the bills without folding it twice, about an inch sticks up from the top. It's totally not a big deal, but for a perfectionist, this is really annoying, I am a bit surprised that this isn't fixed because the solution is so easy, just cut the leather an inch wider/higher. But because of this extra inch, it annoys me every time I tried to put cash in and when I see cash sticking out...

    Best quality!

Hight skill! 80 lvl! Thx ps: Your wife is hot ;) ________________________ Великолепно, что ещё сказать. Просто великолепно. Много у меня было бумажников всяких, этот на голову выше всех. Взял бы еще Trifold Wallet, но в наличии нужного мне не было. Подожду и куплю )

    Quality Plus

If you travel minimally, your search is over--this is all you'll ever need and one will last you as long as you're going to last. Unfortunately, it doesn't hold enough junk for most people. Driver's license, ID card, couple of credit cards, health insurance card, warehouse club store card, AAA card, etc., etc. and you've maxed out this little thing. The trick... well, not so much a trick... is to use both. If you know you're not going to need ALL the junk we have to carry, grab this, stick it in your front pocket, and you're good to go. A trip to the store, going to the gym--this is perfect.

    Not the same Saddleback

I've been a Saddleback Leather customer for a few years. I think my first experiences with their products turned me into an leather enthusiast. I bought the first version of this wallet two years ago and fell head over heals in love with it. I had thought to myself, "this will be the last wallet I ever buy and if for some reason it disappears I know where I'll go to get it replaced." Fast forward to the last few months. I was engaged to be married and knew right away what the gift was going to be to my groomsman, this wallet. I was in no hurry to buy the gifts because I knew exactly what I wanted and where to get it. Finally a couple of weeks ago I placed the order. I debated getting different colors but in the end decided on the same color I have the DCB. I ordered four. The wallets arrived a short while later and I quickly opened the box. I was instantly disappointed. This isn't the same wallet I have. First the color was different. This one is lined with the lighter pigskin. I was frustrated because this wasn't featured in the pictures. When I went back to the website, I saw it listed as "with lighter pigskin." OK you got me on that one. Should have read it, but still feel a bit ripped off since the pictures do not represent this (this also kind off reminded me of McDonalds and other fast food where the picture doesn't represent the product, not a good thing to for a high quality leather merchant to model). Next I noticed that the leather is not dyed as well as mine. I think this explains the lighter pigskin. My wallet is dark leather, dyed all the way through with a dark pigskin. These aren't dyed all the way through with a light pigskin. The leather in general seems different. Not as nice to the touch and doesn't appear to be the same quality (I don't know how to explain this any differently). When Saddleback went through their change a year or so ago I knew it was an expansion of the business and a new model to make more money. The company went from discounting product with scars to calling it "artistic" and appreciating the experience of the animal. I understand business and read the writing on the wall (less waste, more money which often translated to cutting corners), but I had secretly hoped the products wouldn't change. Unfortunately it appears the Saddleback of yesteryear is just that. Not sure if I'll buy another product of Saddleback or not. I think I'll shop around more now for my leather needs. I'm still considering returning the wallets, although now I'm in a pinch because I waited to buy them. Given the price of the wallets, you probably get what you deserve. This is a great design, but an average product. You will probably like it, but won't LOVE IT. I'm really hoping my original purchase lives up to their guarantee, because I wouldn't want one of their replacements. If you have been a Saddleback customer for two years or more, you will likely receive a product different than what you expect.

    Just buy it

You know you want it! It holds everything I carry, with a little age induced stretching. I've got 4 items from Saddleback and the quality is impressive. I won't but leather from anywhere else if Saddleback makes it. Buy it already!
