Once you go Saddleback, you never go back

I started wearing raw denim jeans about 6-8 months ago. I came to the realization that my day-to-day belt didn't match the beauty of raw denim. Yes, it was a decent belt. Yes, it worked fine. But I didn't care for it. I was also used to having to replace a belt after 2-3 years of use, at most. I realized that I had never owned a good belt in my life, and decided to start shopping. I looked, and eventually found Saddleback. I bought this belt in tobacco brown, and doubt that I'll ever look back. I didn't really believe all of the reviews talking about how sturdy it is, because I'd never been exposed to this kind of quality, but I do now. I love this belt, and I can pretty much guarantee that anyone would. Buy it. It's beautiful.

    Top Notch

This thing means business. Fits good, looks good and it could lift the titanic. I got mine in carbon black and it will take a few years to break in perfectly but it's already come along way in around a month. Don't know what else to say, Dave covers everything in the video. I'm not sure if its because of the colour choice, but it didn't have the really great smell like the rest of my stuff from saddleback. It's starting to come around the more I wear it. I really like the screw type rivets used to reinforce the bucket too

    Excellent Belt

I purchased a tow belt in chestnut a couple of weeks ago. As I anticipated, it is a most impressive piece of leather! I don't know what "broken in" means with regard to this belt, but it already feels very comfortable when I put it on, which is pretty much everyday. If you use saddleback's measurement tool, you should get a belt that fits properly. My only caveat is that it is an extremely hefty accessory, and although I'm not a small man at 5'8" and 200 pounds, it takes up a lot of real estate around my 34" waist. I suspect it would overwhelm an even slightly smaller man.

    Great Belts

I purchased 3 of these in Tobacco, Coffee and Black. the belts look good while wearing a suit or in jeans. I love them and would definitely buy them again. I purchased them back in February and at first they did squeak but after a little break the noises stopped. The Tobacco has built a lot of character so really think about that before purchasing. Personally I love it. as far as sizing goes, there are a lot of holes on the belts so it has a lot of room, stick with your pant size and you should be fine. plus you could always cut the belt if you lose a lot of weight in the future. another nice feature is that you can change out the buckle if you want to make it a little more personal.

    The sizing information is incorrect

It is true: the quality of this belt is amazing. However, it does have two deficiencies. First, and most importantly, the sizing information listed on this website is absolutely incorrect. You should *not* order your correct size. I am a size 36, and so, I ordered a size 36. Huge mistake. Bigger headache. This belt was at least two inches too long. No problem, I thought. The website says it is super easy to make this belt smaller. This brings up the second deficiency with this belt. The set screws used to hold the belt together are just barely long enough to do their job, and they are very hard to get back together unless you use c-clamps or something like that. I cut the belt down and now have a belt that will last me a few years until I get fatter. Getting the belt back together required me to take the belt to a leather shop in my town, who, thankfully did not charge me anything. I think the belt is amazing, but the website needs to be updated to correct the inaccuracy about sizing.
