Leather Tow Belt in Kotor, Montenegro
I received my second saddleback belt a few days ago. The tow belt width 1.75 has been discontinued. The few left are on Dave's deal. My review is simple the saddleback tow belt is of the highest leather quality. It is far superior when compare /contrast to any other brand. Saddleback staff is also superior particularity Liz. Her instant response was spot on. Having purchased other saddleback leather items her positive action keeps me a lifetime customer. Thank you for an excellent product.
Well, this is the best belt I've ever owned. It's worth every cent. Not only is it beautiful, but it has a fabulous stiffness to it that introduced me to what belts should have been doing all along for my pants: actually holding them in place. You will not regret purchasing this belt, but your friends may since they will be so envious. My one point of critique is the screws on the buckle side can become loose and fall out. One of mine was eventually lost, but SBL immediately sent me several replacements, free of charge, with instructions for how to fix them (use Loctite). Still no regrets!
This is the nicest belt that I have ever seen and owned. This is also my first "real" belt that I've bought from a leather company and not a department store. The chestnut leather is beautiful as always and the build quality is excellent. I own other Saddleback products and I've never been disappointed by any of them. This belt is VERY thick and sturdy. Take the thickest belt you own and sew three of them together. That's the Tow Belt! It has no problem serving daily duty and easy keeps my pants up when I'm wearing my gun. If you're thinking about this belt, just buy it. You won't be disappointed and it will definitely out live you.
I was a little hesitant at first to buy this belt. I've always been the kind of guy who buys the typical $20 belt at the department store. But after reading the reviews and watching some of Dave's videos I decided to go ahead and buy one. And man am I glad I did. This belt feels like a belt should feel. It's thick (but will go through a belt loop a second time after being buckled), comfortable and looks great with all types of jeans. I ordered the Carbon Black and plan on getting another in Dark Coffee Brown soon. Thanks, Dave, for the awesome products!
I have acquired a few belts recently and I am still looking for the perfect one. My Tow Belt is pretty good and there is a lot to like about it. The quality of the leather, craftsmanship and the hardware are all top notch. I also like the color (dark coffee brown, I have a matching iPad case). There is one thing that leaves me scratching my head is the placement of the holes. There are 9 holes and I wear it right in the middle, in hole #5. This is perfect as it leaves some wiggle room in both directions; if I gain some weight or my descendants are skinnier than me, the belt will continue to fulfill its purpose. In practice, there is not much room for expansion as the last 2-3 holes are really close to the edge of the belt. Someone wearing the belt in the last few holes would not be able to tuck the end in the leather loop. If the belt was longer by 1-2 inches and there were no holes in that part, it would be indeed the perfect belt. It would be more functionnal and also look better.
