    Great for Traveling

If you want a BIG wallet that fits everything you need and more, this is the wallet for you! I purchased the wallet in Chestnut, and have had it for almost a year now, and it never fails to impress. The different flaps and compartments are great for storing all sorts kinds of stuff. The passport sized flap was especially useful on my two month trip to South Africa this year, it kept my passport and boarding passes safe, and I never had to worry that it might fall out or get lost. Also, the large open flap right behind the the passport flap fits a small moleskin notebook, which I find useful to jot small notes down. Overall, this is a gorgeous wallet that is super durable will last me a lifetime. That said, the only "bad" thing about the wallet is that the sleeve on the back of the wallet is very stiff and tight. Even after almost a year of tough everyday use, the back sleeve is too tight to quickly (and easily) slide papers/receipts/boarding passes into. Overall, excellent wallet, I would recommend it to anyone who wants a great daily organizational item.

Sometimes You Will Have to Carry Your Wife's Purse for Her. At Least It Can Smell Amazing When You Do.

I got this for my wife when our girl was born. I wanted something representing permanence and dependability and steadfastness, and wanted it to be something she'd use every day, so it could remind her of that crazy time our life--the one we live together, sure we still have our own lives, but the partnership, the family, that shared life--changed forever. Not asking much of a wallet here, just that it represent a Giant Life Change of tectonic proportion, no big deal. My wife's purse is a marvel of over-preparedness organized in such a way that, to me, it may as well be 38 individually bagged bird skeletons. Whatever it is, I know she has it in there, but I'd have as much luck trying to find it at the bottom of a lake. She on the other hand will hand me a needle, already threaded with the right color, in four seconds. All this military-grade readiness takes its toll on purses, though, so she goes through at least one a year. Same story with her wallets, which are like her purse's SEAL team, deployable separate from the Mothership and just as deadly. When I saw the Big Wallet, it was like they had my wife's wallet, on the internet. Only better. Bigger, more thoughtfully designed, with organizational bits I couldn't wait to let her discover. Devoid of stupid baubles, clasps, cheap zippers, plastic parts, extraneous seams. Just huge, gorgeous pieces of leather, carefully stitched to safely organize that particular territory of her purse. A change pocket that works. Roughly 175 card slots. A penholder that is exactly the right size for a 1947 Parker 51, if you were wondering. And the smell, oh my the smell. It is not a thing I am particularly proud of, but it is true: when she asks me to get her purse for her, I stand there for a second and I smell her wallet. To all the world I am an insane person in that moment, but I am the happiest lunatic. It's been through two different purses already, quietly outlasting their shoddy sewing, cheap linings, broken hardware. And while Saddleback makes stunning purses these days, I wouldn't dare try to lock her into a purse that would last forever; she likes finding new ones at TJ Maxx or whatever, changing colors, all that. But this wallet goes in all of them, classing them up like when you rent a car that's nicer than yours for an out-of-town wedding, and will outlast every one of them. It'll outlast her and me, too, and then it'll be my daughter's. And that's how a wallet gets to be more than just a wallet. Thanks for making this thing. She loves it.

Big wallet, it is what it says!

Being a SBL convert, looking for a decent sized and practical wallet this was the only option I could get my head around. QAnd it is not a boring option, it is a solution. Being a decent big wallet I can have all the necessary items with me when ever I go out. Zero chance of it being left in a store or resturant, as everyone who see's it comments favourbly about it so I make sure they cant get their hands on it, and with me it stays. Pity I wont be here in 100 years time to see the grand chcildren fighting over it, but while I am here it is mine and no one elses! Keep up the bloody good work Dave and team.

    They did say BIG...

And big it is! Received a lg classic briefcase (both dcb) at the same time (Father's Day), so you know I was grinning from ear to ear! The wallet IS big, but it's not big for bigs sake, its extremely useful! There's nothing that won't fit, so even when I carry it without the bag I always have one hand free. Especially if I'm just running to the store, or doing my 'honey-do' list: phone, cash, pen, & cards, plus receipts. If your wallet has to go in your back/front pocket, than clearly this isn't the one for you! Alternatively, if you feel you might enjoy the utility of a large capacity wallet...this is the wallet for you! Nothing else comes close!

    Perfect everyday wallet/clutch

I love this wallet, I have it in Tobacco to match my bags and it's just getting better looking with age (it's over 2 years old). When I first used it, it felt large and cumbersome and I felt self conscious using it, but after about a week I was hooked and I have used it almost everyday since. It holds all my cards, pen, change, drivers licence, photo's, receipts, coupons, cash and a swiss army card. And there's room for more! I could also use the outside pocket for holding my phone if I wanted to use it as a clutch. Just a pity that there is no strap to convert it into hands free. Looking forward to many more years of use.
