Our hope is that you’ll be proud of your bag because of the compliments you get and how long it lasts. But our deeper hope is that you join our community of those nurturing the vulnerable and loving the unloved. We do more than just quality leather bags; we do quality in all areas of our business.
Our purpose is not to change the world by loving orphans, single moms and ex-prisoners one at a time. It’s to work with a Love 41 community/family of loving and nurturing people to do it. If you want to but you’re not sure how, then join us on Facebook or sign up for our newsletter to learn more. We’ll help you get plugged in.
Read MoreThe reason you'll compliment us is because of the little details in the design. For instance, when the leather wallet is closed, I wanted it to be equally thick at the top as it is on the bottom (where all of the credit cards and papers and layers of pockets are stacked). So I put the thick coin purse on the top right to counter the thin top left side. This resulted in two parallel sides to make our leather wallet balanced when it is closed. And a small detail, but a big one; the ID window does not have plastic, which eventually gets cloudy, cracks and then tears apart.&&This leather wallet's pen holder can hold thick or standard thickness pens because of the design. Both the coin purse and the main closure have two holes to secure when it's empty or very full. There is an outside pocket to quickly stow away a paper instead of opening the wallet to put them away. And passports fit just fine.
---The reason cashiers and friends will compliment you on this wallet is because the Full Grain leather ages so gorgeously. This wallet was built with full-grain leather. All leather naturally has a grain which is the tough fibers and pores located at the surface of the hide. Some companies shave some or all of the grain off to get rid of any scars (watch how they shave it here minute 6:30) the cow may have gotten in his life. But the grain is the toughest part of the hide and what makes the leather patina so nicely and last so long. When they shave it, it's called top grain leather. When they remove the grain, it's called genuine leather. And they do it so can make a wallet without cutting around any scars which results in a lot of wasted expensive leather. It's why full-grain leather is so expensive.
Use this as a travel wallet and extra wallet. Holds all those other cards, etc that you do not need every day. Excellent construction and workmanship. This wallet is heavy duty. It is large so don't thick you will carry this in a pocket. I keep in the classic backpack to organize the extras. Love the tobacco brown color. PS, have had this 9-10 months.

I love this wallet. I have it for about 3 months and is already developing a nice patina from everyday carry. It keeps everything together, my passport, IC, driving lisence, cards and more importantly coins. At the restaurant it makes a nice table decoration while waiting for food to be served. People have been complimenting it and it does not look like a purse at all. Although I would wish SBL to make the old passport wallet with a coin pocket so I don't have to bring along my satchel everyway I go as this big one will not fit my jeans or my shirt pocket. Lol.

Hello Wallet/clutch woman who wants to use her big wallet on a strap... Go to a leather shop and get a piece of leather made into a thin "belt"... You run this "belt" or strap through the pen sleeve and it works wonderfully. I did this for my wife and she loves it. If you take your wallet into a leather guy he'll know what to do. I am getting ready to purchase my second big wallet and I am stoked. My first one my wife stole from me...so....yah. Anyhow, I own gobs of stuff from Saddleback....all of it rocks. Thank you!

I must say, I much prefer this to the older style. It seems to be more lightweight, and I love the curved design of the card slots. I can fit more than one card in each slot, and I put stamps inside the pocket behind the coin pouch. And it is so hard these days to still find wallets that have penholder, let alone a penholder that holds more than one pen! And the RFID protection is a huge bonus. I believe I am now in possession of the mothership of all wallets. I purchased the chestnut color - it's now my new favorite color.

I have been looking around on saddleback website for almost a year now. I have looked at tons of youtube posts and have read the reviews over and over...I FINALY decided to pull the trigger and order the Big Leather Wallet and a belt. When the wallet arrived in the mail I was completely blown away. The craftsmanship is beyond exceptional. I travel a lot, and I needed something to hold my passport, cards travel paper work. I have a regular sized wallet that I use on a daily basis, but I think that it's going to go into retirement since I have received the Big Leather Wallet. I will have to get use to carrying a wallet in my hands and not in my back pocket, but that's a small issue. If you are like me, and you have been stalking the saddleback website for months, DON'T WAIT, buy it!!! Now that I have gotten my feet wet there will be more purchases to come. THANK YOU SADDLEBACK for this great product!!!
