This bag is perfect for travel, weekends or longer if necessary/. It will fit in the overhead compartment. I find the weight is fine and comparable to other bags its size. However, the Saddleback bag is a much better built, better looking and higher quality that any bag I have seen.
I bought the older version of the Side Pocket Duffle Bag a good many years ago and loved it. So did everyone at the airport that complimented me on it. After many travels and bag checks, one of the old metal security clips on the top blew out. Saddleback, to their credit, opted to just replace the bag with the current style, and I've had no issues since. In the Dark Coffee Brown, this thing cruises through baggage handling with hardly any indication that it's ever been used (as opposed to my wife's really nice but always filthy Briggs & Riley luggage). The only ding I would give it, and it's more a suggested improvement, would be to either remove the inner pocket or provide that as an ordering option. I never use it, the leather is too stiff and thick, and it takes up too much room. Omit that pocket, or provide that as an ordering option, and this is a 5-star item.

What are you- crazy? They're fightin' over it right now, and I figure I have about 40 years left. Seriously, I do have to say though, in an online world where anyone can write anything they want about almost everything, I am happy to have found Saddleback Leather. This bag is more than I expected. I love the style and it holds more than a weeks worth of clothes if you pack it properly. I've taken it on all my trips since I received it. Thank you Saddleback for making the best leather products on the planet.
