Why you should use a Passport Wallet

Materials in the Full-Grain Leather Passport Wallet

You can go to the mall all day and get a cheap personalized passport cover, but it is just that, cheap passport covers. We design this to keep your belongings safe in other countries. Leather

This leather passport wallet was constructed with full-grain leather. All leather has grain, tough fibers, and pores in the top part of the hide. Most companies pay less for the leather that has had a lot of the grain shaved off to get rid of scars and blemishes of the leather, but in doing so, they shave off the grain, which is the toughest part of the hide and what makes a leather passport wallet so durable, get a nice patina and be super water-resistant. It's like the shaved off the shingles from your roof. When they remove some of the grain, it's called top grain leather. When they remove ALL of the grain, it's called genuine leather. And they do it to save leather while taking away the strength of the wallet and durability of the leather. Leather is expensive, and they don't want to waste any of it because of a scar or bug bite. It's why this full grain leather passport wallet is more expensive than some cheap passport case.

Lining

We line this leather passport wallet with pigskin, which is tougher than the cow leather. It's why we feel comfortable offering a 100-year Warranty.

Thread

We sewed it with our really strong German marine-grade polyester thread. It's the only thread they sew parachutes and ship sails with. So if your life depends on it, use Polyester thread.

Passport Wallet with RFID Blocker

And for extra security, we put a thin layer of RFID (Radio Frequency ID) blocking material between the pigs and the cow. This is to stop low life scumbag thieves from scanning your leather passport wallet in a crowd and stealing your identification from the cards in your passport wallet. The RFID chip on the front of the passport itself is harder to scan because it's a different frequency. So keep your data safe with this RFID blocking technology; these are travel essentials.

Passport Wallet Design

The reason customs agents and cashiers will compliment you on your leather passport wallet is that the full-grain leather ages so nicely. I designed it to stay slim and flat when it's stuffed full by putting only two even credit card pockets to stack your cards, business cards on one side and personal cards on the other. Because you stack them, there aren't layers of leather adding thickness between each card. And it stays flat in the two interior pockets. The size is wide enough to fit a couple of passports comfortably, and yellow cards or uncomfortably fit four passports, but only two securely. It seems simple, but it is a very well thought out leather passport wallet.

I use this as my EDC wallet

I purchased this wallet in 2013 ahead of my first trip to Europe. It held both passports for my wife and I, and had enough room for cash (dollars and euros) and credit cards. In 2016 I started using it as my EDC wallet, and it’s really a perfect size. It fits in my back pocket or inside jacket pocket with ease, and carries everything I need (truth be told, I’m a bit of a pocket hoarder). It’s developed some nice wear and feels softer and smoother than when it was brand new. I’d love an excuse to buy a new wallet, but there’s simply no reason to. It’s the best wallet I’ve ever had.

Must have traveling accessory

I bought this wallet a few years back to help me manage my passport and some credit cards, foreign currency etc when I travelled. I never realized that it had enough room for more passports. We now carry four passports, a couple of credit cards, insurance cards and at least 15-20 currency bills. There are times when we do tend to use a rubber band to hold loose documents together in it (especially kids birth certificate documents, boarding passes, customs paperwork etc. and it can hold all of this without a sweat. The wallet still looks like new and might have stretched a little bit in the pockets that hold the passports but it's certainly not loose enough where things can fall off. At the time of purchase, it might have seemed frivolous but recently, our backpack got drenched in a downpour and thanks to this wallet, the passports were intact. It's certainly worth the money....

Great wallet!

I’ve used this wallet every day for about two years. Fits eight cards (4 stacked in each slot) plus a few other random stuff very well, plus two to three when I travel internationally. Because of the layout, the wallet is actually thinner than most others and it fits in the back pocket of jeans and slacks easily.
