Oh no!

A few weeks ago I purchased two (one carbon/black, one brown) of the no longer available, Passport Sleeves. They were Christmas gifts for the two men in my life who "Don't need" anything - my big brother & my boss/friend. I had wrapped the one for my brother & had it under our tree. Last night my husband came to me with a small piece of leather and scraps of wrapping paper in his hand :o The only witness to what happened to the Passport Sleeve is one of our two dogs! Neither of which have chewed - other than their own toys - a thing since they were puppies, seven and eight years ago.

I'm not sure why the sleeve was discontinued. I think it's the perfect accessory; especially for someone who doesn't need to carry their passport "every day" but when they do - it looks very impressive :) It's like all of our other Saddleback items; smells wonderful, high quality and made to last - just don't put it under the tree if you have dogs!!

Not just for Passport!

Bought it in slightly older version, one without the place for banknotes. It doesn't actually matter though. I use it for daily use, having added band of elastic inside to keep notepad and wide rubber band outside to keep all of the stuff (notepad, loose papers, pen) together. I was thinking of getting Midori's Traveller's Notebook, but this is so much better! If only Dave decided to make it a little taller...

Great for Travel - Even Better for Home!

Man, I'm a Saddleback junkie. Every time I visit the site I think about what's next. Must resist... not! Just gotta decide what's next. I've two Saddleback wallets - the small bifold wallet and the passport wallet. First things first - most guys carry way too much junk in their wallets. The bifold wallet forced me to really go light weight. I used that one for about a year and only got the passport wallet out when traveling. I came home from a trip not to long ago and said to myself, "Self, you know, there's no reason to not use this passport wallet as your everyday wallet." I carry two credit cards, a transit pass, a driver's license, a few business cards and some cash. And it is absolutely the most comfortable wallet I have EVER carried. I had gotten to the point (even with the bifold) where my wallet in my back pocked was just too thick. I routinely got in the car and then took the wallet out. The passport wallet is slim enough to be completely unnoticeable in my rear pocket when wearing jeans. I put it in my computer bag or jacket pocket if I'm dressing up. I've had this passport wallet for a few years ago and it was still rather stiff and had that new leather/new wallet thing going. No longer. Wear it around for a few weeks with a pair of blue jeans and it'll feel like an old friend. It's counterintuitive, yet it really is a much better fit than a typical bifold wallet. Ironically the Saddleback bifold that I carried for a couple of years still had that big piece of leather feel. The passport wallet is 'da bomb. Anyhow, I like it. You guys have great products and I get questions about them all over the world.

This is a wonderful way to keep your passports together, along with some cards and cash. The slim leather passport wallet can securely hold two passports, credit cards, boarding passes, vaccine cards, cash, receipts, and other travel documents. This is the best gift for the world traveler or anyone who wants to keep documents organized and together.

It is even great for a family traveling together and wanting to keep all of their important documents together. But don't be caught in a foreign country and trusting little Johnny to keep up with his documents.

Why you should use a Passport Holder such as a Passport Wallet

A leather passport holder, such as our Slim Passport Wallet, is a great way to keep all of your important documents organized and together while you travel. If you have your regular wallet, plus a boarding pass, plus a vaccination card that may or may not fit in your regular leather wallet, you have a lot to remember. With a passport holder, you can organize everything in one place.

Plus, it just looks nicer. Many people think a passport holder is only for people who travel a lot, but that's not true. If you are carrying your passport with you, why not do it in class? Plus, when you pull your boarding pass out of this, you will surely get bumped up to first class.

Materials in the Full Grain Leather Passport Wallet

When you trust something as important as a passport holder, you do not want the maker to go cheap. You can go to the mall all day and get a cheap personalized passport cover, but it is just that, cheap passport covers. We design this to keep your belongings safe in other countries. With a passport pocket, internal card slots, and RFID blocking technology, you can get to your hotel safe and sound with your travel documents and cash. We do this with everything we make, so it makes sense that we would make something so important.

Leather-

This leather passport wallet was constructed with full-grain leather. All leather has grain, tough fibers, and pores in the top part of the hide. Most companies pay less for the leather that has had a lot of the grain shaved off to get rid of scars and blemishes of the leather, but in doing so, they shave off the grain, which is the toughest part of the hide and what makes a leather passport wallet so durable, get a nice patina and be super water-resistant. It's like the shaved off the shingles from your roof. When they remove some of the grain, it's called top grain leather. When they remove ALL of the grain, it's called genuine leather. And they do it to save leather while taking away the strength of the wallet and durability of the leather. Leather is expensive, and they don't want to waste any of it because of a scar or bug bite. It's why this full grain leather passport wallet is more expensive than some cheap passport case.

The Lining of our Passport Wallet-

We line this leather passport wallet with pigskin, which is tougher than the cow leather. It's why we feel comfortable offering a 100-year Warranty.

Thread for a strong passport wallet-

We sewed it with our really strong German marine-grade polyester thread. It's the only thread they sew parachutes and ship sails with. So if your life depends on it, use Polyester thread.

Passport Wallet with RFID Blocker-

And for extra security, we put a thin layer of RFID (Radio Frequency ID) blocking material between the pigs and the cow. This is to stop low life scumbag thieves from scanning your leather passport wallet in a crowd and stealing your identification from the cards in your passport wallet. The RFID chip on the front of the passport itself is harder to scan because it's a different frequency. So keep your data safe with this RFID blocking technology; these are travel essentials.

Passport Wallet Design

The reason customs agents and cashiers will compliment you on your leather passport wallet is that the full-grain leather ages so nicely. I designed it to stay slim and flat when it's stuffed full by putting only two even credit card pockets to stack your cards, business cards on one side and personal cards on the other. Because you stack them, there aren't layers of leather adding thickness between each card. And it stays flat in the two interior pockets. The size is wide enough to fit a couple of passports comfortably, and yellow cards or uncomfortably fit four passports, but only two securely. It seems simple, but it is a very well thought out leather passport wallet.

More than a Leather Passport Holder

You are taking a trip out of the country, you might even do this all the time, but most people don't. Either way, you have the best travel gear, luggage, bag, money, passports, boarding pass, and other important documents. You review your flight, hotel, and everything you can to make your next trip the best it can be. You do not want to trust that the trip will not get ruined by a low-quality passport case with a snap closure that just broke and dumped your documents. It will not happen at a convenient place, and you show up at your hotel with nothing. Our passport wallet is exactly what you need for quality and extra security. Oh, and it smells great and will always work correctly, for at least 100 years anyway.

    Use regularly when traveling
This is my goto when I travel because it protects my passport AND holds my credit cards while also protecting the information on the credit card with it's security lining. My everyday carry when I'm not traveling though is an iPhone/wallet mashup called the BookBook. I'm hoping Dave will come out with a similar SBL product that essentially melds this passport wallet and his iPhone slip cover. That would become by everyday carry AND my travel carry.

    Good, Solid Wallet
The size is a bit larger than I thought, but it

fits a passport in perfectly. (If curious about

the size fold a sheet of paper twice). Fits in

    average men's pants pocket well.

    Tanning is good.

    Leather is good.

    Thread is good.

    Simple design.

It is good quality but I doubt it will last a

    century.

This should be standard of what wallets are

    made like.
