Full Grain Leather Wallets

Bank tellers compliment you on your leather wallet because it's built of nothing less than full grain leather, so it ages way more richly. However, don't be alarmed if the teller calls the bank manager to see it. Full grain does that because it still has all of the pores on it. Lesser leather wallet companies remove the pores and grain; therefore, the oil and dirt don't sink in as nicely, and the sun doesn't tan the leather.

Knowing the difference between full grain and top grain or genuine or split leather wallets is essential. A hide of leather is a lot like a roof of a house. A roof is thick, but the top layer of shingles is the strongest and most protective. The rugged "shingles" of leather is the thin layer of grain on the hide's surface. Just Perfect When You Need A Small Profile Wallet

At first I didn't know if I would like such a small wallet. I generally carry a Saddleback tri-fold which is great. However, the more I use the slim leather card wallet the more I like it. Recently went on an Alaskan cruise and used the wallet to carry some cash, a couple of credit cards, the cruise ship access card and some cash. The wallet fit perfectly in my shorts pocket. Now I buy the Dave's Deal version and give them for gifts.

Great with one exception

I wanted to simplify my life and buying this wallet has allowed me to do that. I am forced to carry only what I use or need and that is good. As a long time customer, I love the leather and the craftsmanship. But, I agree with a few others, why not 1/4" wider to better accommodate folded bills? I only want to carry 5 bills, but cannot get all of the edges in. Now, I just have to get used to a back pocket wallet after 60 years of traditional use.

Simply the best.

I've used this wallet for nearly 3 years. When I bought the wallet, I was using a kydex minimalist wallet. It had all the features of this wallet, but it scratched the magnetic strips on all my cards. I took a shot on this one to prolong the life of my cards, and it's done a beautiful job. Trust me, you don't need to carry as many cards as you think you do. You also don't need to carry as much cash as you think you do. Save your derriere from discomfort and get a wallet that will be very comfortable and last a long time. You'd be hard pressed to find one better than this one.

Great front pocket slim wallet

I've been looking at Saddleback products for a while and finally decided to pull the trigger on this Slim Leather Card Wallet. I'm all about carrying as little as possible. Previously I had a nice thin card carrier my daughter bought me in Italy. It was very nice but tight to get cards and such out. I love the middle section in this wallet b/c I always carry a little cash. I carry 4 cards, Drivers License, Work ID card and insurance card. I've had the wallet for about 45 days. I love it so far. I purchased in Tobacco. It came smelling like a brand new leather baseball mitt bringing back great memories! It's since taken a deeper richer color which I love. All in all, I'd recommend.

Best minimalist wallet

I had a Saddleback bifold wallet for years. In fact it was my first saddleback purchase. But I needed st stop sitting on a wallet. I tried two other minimalist wallets to no satisfaction. One aluminum and one carbon fiber. Both worked fine but there is something about leather that feels so much better. I saw this when I was shopping for other items and ordered it. I have been carrying it for about 4 weeks now. It is perfect. Holds 4-5 cards on each side and still provides easy access to the cash. You will be happy with this one.
