Read MoreA front pocket wallet is a must-have accessory for any man. This minimalist wallet was designed to be unnoticeable in the front pocket. To give it the smallest profile of any wallet like it, I designed it with the top and side unsewn so cash folds and then slides in and is easy to pull out without pulling out your whole wad.&&There are two card slots to stack up to 5 or 6 cards after the leather stretches. So you have one spot for cards or a fishing license behind the ID window and then space enough to slide cards in behind the ID. That's where I keep a folded up $20 bill that my wife can't find, just in case.
---Everyone knows Saddleback Leather Co is all about over-engineering, made to last. We can do this because we do not go cheap on our materials to make the best leather wallet. We only use the toughest materials we can find.
---Cashiers will compliment you on your front pocket leather wallet because we made it with full grain, so it ages way more nicely because it still has all of the pores on it. The leather will only get better looking over time.
---Instead of using a thin, shiny, pretty nylon fabric for wallet lining, we line this leather wallet with real pigskin, which is tougher than cow leather. That attached to our super tough full grain leather is how we can offer a 100-year Warranty.
---We sewed it with a marine-grade polyester continuous filament thread, which is strong and resistant. This type of thread is used to sew ship sails and parachutes because it cannot break easily. Even though it costs more than nylon thread, this kind will last much longer.
I have searched for quite a bit of time for a solid leather wallet. After spending the better part of 15 years carrying much cheaper wallets I finally came across Saddleback. I Love the mobility and easy of the ID wallet. It is lightweight and compact. After only a week I'm already loving the look it is taking on. Thanks Dave you have a customer for a long time.

I made absolutely certain that in the shipping information section of the billing process I wrote under "Shipping Requests" that I wanted to receive my new chestnut Saddleback wallet with a picture of Indiana Jones riding a horse in it. I was quite disappointed when it arrived sans the picture. It's a great wallet though if a bit small at first. I know it'll stretch a bit to fit everything a little more comfortable so for that I give it the whole shebang... 5 tin stars. Next time I'll take it easy on the shipping department though and simply request that my items be delivered by a midget wearing a top hat.

I have a love/hate relationship with this wallet. I purchased this in dark coffee brown for the regular price of $33 last month(Sept 2013) Cons -The height needs to be 1 more cm. The height of bills in Japan are a bit more than those in the U.S.(where I'm from). It's annoying that my bills stick out a bit from the middle cash pocket. The product details say "cash sticks up just enough to grab" as if this is a good feature. Well, if I wanted my cash to stick up a bit, I wouldn't insert them so deep into the pocket! If I have U.S. bills, only two or three bills if inserted would be flush. But once you have more than five U.S. bills, they start popping out of the wallet. Annoying indeed. -Inside the middle cash pocket about 1cm before the bottom, there is thick quality threading that is used to sew the pig skin into the wallet. When I put cash into this slot, the bills usually get caught on this thick threading, especially if my wallet is full and especially if it's one or two bills only. This is annoying because it prevents the bills from sliding into the bottom of the pocket completely. If I have a wad of about five folded bills, they don't get caught. -One the side with two card slots, there's a design flaw. When I insert my card completely into the top slot and try to take it out, the top edge of the card gets caught on the thick quality threading. This would probably happen on the slot of the other side as well but I don't use this pocket nearly as much. I typically try to take the card out with my one thumb by sliding it up and out but the threading prevents me from doing this. Rather than jab my index finger behind my card and pulling it out between my thumb(with the wallet full, this would be difficult), I have to always be conscious not to fully insert the card. This way, the top of the card lies flush with the wallet and the threading doesn't get in the way and catch anything. Pros -Awesome leather quality -Great leather smell -Small and unnoticeable in your pocket -Lined with pig skin in some places to last for a very long time Conclusion: I would only buy this to use as a wallet for gym cards, train passes, etc. It does a lousy job at holding cash. The quality threading does get in the way.

I have 2 ID wallets, one in my beloved retired carbon black and another in chestnut. No complaints about the design. It's especially great for people like me who flash their student ID on a daily basis to get discounts and it saves me the trouble of yanking my photocopying card out from my wallet all the time. Plus I can shove my dry cleaning receipts into the money slot (I use this wallet alongside my medium bifold). The downside is that when I compare my chestnut with my old carbon black, the carbon black-- clearly of a more recent vintage-- uses MUCH thinner leather on the ID window. I have noticed that the leather used shortly before the old black and tobacco were phased out is thinner. I've attached a photo so that yalls know what I mean. I don't doubt that thinner ID window leather is still "fit for purpose", but don't we all like thick leather? :(

I changed to this wallet from a Slimmy. The construction alone shows quality. The Slimmy has a misaligned seam and the leather is paper thin with a cloth backing and has a chemical smell. The leather used in this product smells great and is thick enough to be sturdy without adding too much bulk. I've carried it over a month now and out of the many slim wallets I've tried this is the best.
